WEBDESK: In a significant diplomatic development, the four-nation QUAD alliance, comprising the United States, Japan, Australia, and India, condemned the false flag attack that took place in the Pahalgam area of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir on April 22. However, the bloc notably refrained from endorsing India’s baseless allegations against Pakistan.
The joint statement issued following the QUAD foreign ministers’ meeting in Washington is being hailed as a diplomatic success for Pakistan and a sign of the international community’s growing resistance to India’s unilateral propaganda efforts.
Immediately after the Pahalgam incident, Indian authorities accused Pakistan without providing any evidence and initiated aggressive military actions across the Line of Control (LoC).
Pakistan swiftly rejected the allegations and called for an impartial and transparent investigation, a move that was widely appreciated on the global stage.
The QUAD’s joint communiqué condemned terrorism in all forms but made no mention of Pakistan.
“We condemn terrorism and violent extremism in all its forms, including cross-border terrorism,” the statement read.

Despite Indian attempts, the lack of any direct reference to Pakistan is being viewed as a diplomatic setback for New Delhi.
Due to the unprovoked Indian aggression, Pakistan, in turn, hit India with a military retaliatory action, Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, the limited offensive operation, which was focused only on Indian military targets.
In the airstrikes, it is said that Pakistan shot six Indian fighter aircraft three of which were top of the range Rafale, and several drones were destroyed.
This was a short-lived battle that lasted 87 hours and ended with a cease fire deal brokered by President of the US Donald Trump on May 10.
Whereas India has denied the Trump-mediator role, Pakistan did not only accept his peace mediation process, but it has already nominated him formally as a candidate to win the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize.
Analysts believe the QUAD’s refusal to back India’s narrative against Pakistan reflects a broader shift in international attitudes.
“The world is no longer blindly accepting India’s baseless accusations and staged actions,” said Dr Fariha Niazi, an Islamabad-based expert on international affairs. “The QUAD’s silence on Pakistan is not a coincidence, it’s a clear signal of the global community’s increasing emphasis on evidence and justice.”
Reaffirming its commitment to peace and stability in the region, Pakistan once again urged the international community to play a constructive role in resolving longstanding conflicts and ensuring long-term peace in South Asia.
