LAHORE: Punjab’s top police officer, Inspector General Dr Usman Anwar, has nominated 37 officers from the Punjab Police for the upcoming World Police Summit 2025. This international event will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 13 to 15 and brings together police forces from around the globe.
The World Police Summit is a platform to recognize the hard work, dedication, and innovative efforts of law enforcement personnel worldwide. It features the prestigious World Police Summit Awards and a Gala Dinner to honor exceptional service across various fields of policing.
The 37 nominated officers from Punjab have been selected across 12 categories for their outstanding contributions in areas such as road safety, criminal investigation, use of technology, and public service.

Innovative Ideas in Law Enforcement:
Additionally, some officers have been recognised for their humanitarian actions under the Good Samaritans and People’s Determination awards.
Customer Service Excellence:
SSP Ghazanfar Ali Shah and senior traffic wardens from Safe Cities Authority.
Forensic Science Expertise:
Sub-Inspector Javed Iqbal (Multan CRO Branch).
Road Safety:
Traffic Warden Ali Hassan (City Traffic Police Multan).
AI Implementation in Policing:
DPO Essa Khan (Kasur), CTO Sardar Mawran Khan (Multan).
Criminal Investigation Excellence:
ASP Anum Sehr, ASP Agha Fasih-ur-Rehman, Inspector Muhammad Akbar.
Impactful Women in Police:
SP Bushra Jameel, ASI Farhat-un-Nisa, and others.
Anti-Narcotics Performance:
DPO Essa Khan, Sub-Inspector Imran Khan, Additional SP Kainat Azhar.
All nominated officers have been directed to apply online under their respective categories for the World Police Summit and inform the Punjab IG office accordingly.
