WEBDESK: The highly anticipated PSL exhibition match between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators, originally set for April 8 at Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar, has been postponed. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that a new date for the PSL exhibition match will be shared soon.

“HBL PSL X exhibition match scheduled between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators at the Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar on 8 April will be rescheduled. The revised date of the match will be announced in due course,” the PCB said in a statement.

While no specific reason for the rescheduling has been provided, the PCB remains committed to bringing cricket back to Peshawar. The board has assured fans that it is working closely with the provincial government to ensure the stadium is ready to host matches in the future.

“The PCB remains committed to hosting matches at the international stadium in Peshawar and will continue to provide all support to the provincial government to make the venue operational,” the Pakistan Cricket Board said in its statement.

The PSL exhibition match was expected to generate excitement among local fans, as it would have been a rare opportunity to see top cricketers in action in Peshawar. The rescheduling has disappointed many, but the PCB has reiterated its plans to support cricket development in the region.

Meanwhile, the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 10) will kick off on April 11 in Rawalpindi. Defending champions Islamabad United will face Lahore Qalandars in the opening match. Tickets for PSL 10 will be available online from April 3, while physical tickets can be purchased from designated TCS express centers starting April 7. General ticket prices have been set at Rs650 across all venues.

The PSL exhibition match in Peshawar was meant to be a warm-up event ahead of the main tournament. Fans in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are eagerly waiting for the PCB to announce the revised schedule, hoping they will soon witness live cricket action in their city.
