WEBDESK: Peshawar Zalmi has reinforced its squad for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 by signing Luke Wood, a left-arm fast bowler from England. The franchise aims to strengthen its pace attack with his inclusion ahead of the much-anticipated tournament.

Luke Wood previously played for Zalmi in PSL 9 and made a solid impression with his pace and wicket-taking ability. His experience at the international level, including representing England in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and T20 Internationals (T20Is), makes him a valuable asset to the team. Wood made his ODI debut against Australia in November 2022 and has since been recognized for his bowling skills.

“Welcome back, Luke Wood. England fast bowler is back to charge in for Zalmi at PSL 10,” the franchise wrote.

According to the media reports, Wood has been roped into Zalmi’s squad in place of Bangladesh’s emerging seamer Nahid Rana.

Nahid will be partially unavailable for the tournament due to a home Test series against Zimbabwe.

The fast bowler previously represented the franchise in the PSL 9, taking 13 wickets in 12 matches.

With PSL 10 set to take place from April 8 to May 19, 2025, the franchise is gearing up to compete against top teams with a well-balanced squad.

His presence adds depth to Zalmi’s bowling attack, making them a strong contender for the PSL 10 title.
