Pervez Khattak takes oath as advisor to PM

In an interested development, former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and ex-Defence Minister Pervez Khattak on Thursday took an oath for being appointed as an advisor to the Prime Minister.

The federal cabinet expanded as a total of 12 federal ministers, 9 ministers of state, and 3 advisers were sworn in for their new positions.

President Asif Ali Zardari administered the oath, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attending the ceremony. The new advisors to the prime minister include Pervez Khattak, Tauqir Shah and Muhammad Ali.

Tribune reported that three ministers were unable to attend their oath taking ceremony due to massive traffic jam in Islamabad.

The new federal ministers are as following:

  • Moeen Watto
  • Mustafa Kamal
  • Sardar Yousuf
  • Aurangzeb Katchi
  • Rana Mubashir
  • Raza Hayat Hiraj
  • Tariq Fazal Chaudhry
  • Ali Pervaiz Malik
  • Shaza Fatima
  • Junaid Anwar
  • Khalid Magsi

While the new ministers of state are as following:

  • Talal Chaudhry
  • Barrister Aqeel Malik
  • Malik Rasheed
  • Kheal Das Kohistani
  • Abdul Rehman Kanju
  • Bilal Azhar Kayani
  • Mukhtar Bharath
  • Aun Chaudhry
