LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the PCB Talent Hunt Program on Saturday 22 March 2025 as a policy to improve cricket at the grassroots level.

During a press conference at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, PCB’s COO Sameer Ahmed Syed, Advisor to Chairman PCB Aamir Mir, and other officials shared that the goal of this program is to discover and promote local talent.

The PCB plans to conduct the talent hunts in schools and colleges located throughout the national territory. Boys and girls participating in this talent hunt program can secure national team membership as their goal.

During this process Aamir Mir explained that multiple locations will conduct evaluations to find talented athletes who will get experienced coaching to develop their skills. The young players will undergo training to prepare them for their future role in Pakistan’s cricket team.

The registration procedure will start in the upcoming month and the program aims to select Under-16 students from area schools. The selection process follows complete merit standards to provide top talents the opportunity to showcase their abilities.
