WEBDESK: In the wake of the Israeli attack on Iran, concerns about growing regional alignments that could pose serious threats to national security are also being witnessed in Pakistan considering the “Israel-India nexus”.

Referring to the perceived cooperation between Israel and India, the “Israel-India nexus”, voices from within Pakistan have described recent developments as part of a broader “strategic alignment” that also includes the Indian cross-border action against Pakistan on May 6–7.

There have been comparisons of the Israeli attack on Iran with the previous operation by India indicating the presence of the same kind of thinking and strategy in both cases.

The nature and timing of these actions reflect an increasing convergence between Tel Aviv and New Delhi in matters of regional strategy.

The narrative warns that if Pakistan had not delivered a strong military response to the events of May 6–7, it could have faced greater escalation.

It is stressed that this situation underscores the need for Pakistan to remain fully prepared and focused on strengthening its armed forces and defence capabilities.

The government is urged to prioritize internal stability, economic strength, and national security.

The threat seems to have reached our doorsteps, calling for Pakistan to focus all its attention on its own security and defence matters.

Finally, given current tensions, a new focus is also given to the role Pakistan plays as a net regional stabiliser, and it is suggested to become more prepared in case of another conflict and to invest in long-term strategic resilience.
