ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain and thunderstorms in several regions across the country over the next few days. According to the latest weather report, a change is expected in the current hot and dry conditions in many areas.
The weather is likely to remain hot in most parts of Sindh and southern Punjab, with temperatures expected to be 2 to 4 degrees Celsius above normal. In cities like Karachi and Hyderabad, dry conditions will continue, while coastal areas may experience dusty winds.
In the northern areas, the weather is expected to shift. Islamabad and nearby regions are likely to stay warm and dry today, but areas like Murree, Galiyat, and surrounding hill stations may see thunderstorms with rain.
The weather in Balochistan and most districts of Sindh is expected to stay mostly dry, although strong winds may blow across some coastal parts of Sindh.
Northern parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) , including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Battagram, Mansehra, and Abbottabad, are also expected to receive rain and thunder along with gusty winds. This could bring some relief from the recent warm spell and help improve air quality.
PDM has also predicted partially cloudy skies over Gilgit-Baltistan, with chances of rain at a few locations in Azad Kashmir along with thunder and lightning.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to stay updated with the latest weather alerts and take necessary precautions, especially in regions expected to receive heavy rain or strong winds.
This mixed weather pattern shows the shift from winter to summer conditions, and people should stay prepared for sudden changes. The Meteorological Department continues to monitor the situation and will issue timely updates as needed.
