Webdesk: Hot and humid conditions are expected to dominate most parts of the country today according to Pakistan weather update. However, scattered rain with wind and thunderstorms may occur at isolated locations in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Potohar region, and parts of southeastern Sindh.
According to the latest weather pattern, a seasonal low lies over northeastern Balochistan, while moist air from the Arabian Sea continues to affect the lower and eastern regions. Additionally, a westerly wave is present over the northern areas of the country.
Pakistan weather update: Regional
Islamabad:
Hot and humid weather will persist through the day. However, there’s a fair chance of rain with wind and thunder at some spots during the evening or night. Rain chance: 45%.
Punjab:
Most of the province will experience hot and sticky weather. Isolated rain-wind/thundershowers may develop later in the day in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Chakwal, Attock, Jhelum, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, and Lahore. Rain is also possible in southern parts including Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, and Taunsa.
Balochistan:
Hot and humid conditions will continue across the province. However, some areas like Zhob, Qila Saifullah, Barkhan, Musakhel, and Khuzdar may receive evening or night-time rain with thunder.
Sindh:
Sindh remains mostly hot and humid today. But partly cloudy skies and chances of rainfall are expected in Umerkot, Tharparkar, Karachi, Thatta, Badin, Hyderabad, Khairpur, Sanghar, Mithi, and Padidan.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP):
The province will remain largely hot and muggy. Rain-wind/thundershowers are expected in scattered northern and central areas such as Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Buner, Shangla, Kurram, Khyber, Orakzai, Waziristan, and Karak.
Gilgit-Baltistan (GB):
Cloudy conditions will prevail, with rain and thunderstorms likely at isolated places throughout the region.
Kashmir:
Mostly cloudy skies are expected, with isolated spots likely to receive rain along with wind and thunder.
