WEBDESK: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has made a major change to the upcoming Pakistan vs Bangladesh series. Originally, the tour was set to include three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). However, the BCB and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have now agreed to replace the ODIs with a five-match T20I series.

This decision comes as both teams shift their focus to preparation for the T20 Asia Cup 2025 and the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. The T20 Asia Cup, scheduled for September in India, will be played in the T20 format, making this tour an important part of both teams’ preparations.

In addition to the matches in Pakistan, Bangladesh will also host a Pakistan vs Bangladesh T20 series in July. The three-match series will take place in Dhaka on July 20, 22, and 24, just before Pakistan’s tour of the West Indies. This additional series will give both teams extra practice in the shortest format before facing top international competition.

A BCB official confirmed, “We have decided to play only T20Is on the Pakistan tour as part of our preparation for the next T20 World Cup and Asia Cup.”

Fans of Pakistan vs Bangladesh can now look forward to an exciting series, with both teams fine-tuning their strategies for upcoming global tournaments. With these matches, Pakistan and Bangladesh will aim to strengthen their squads and gain valuable match experience in the fast-paced T20 format.
