WEBDESK: Pakistan has taken a firm diplomatic stance at the United Nations UN, as Ambassador Usman Jadoon strongly responded to recent Indian statements at the UN Security Council, accusing New Delhi of spreading false allegations against Pakistan on the international stage.
Speaking at the UNSC session, Ambassador Jadoon rejected India’s claims outright, reaffirming Pakistan’s longstanding position that India is illegally occupying Jammu and Kashmir and has continuously violated UN resolutions by denying the Kashmiri people their right to self-determination.
The Pakistani envoy further alleged that India is actively supporting terrorism inside Pakistan, citing international reports and evidence pointing to New Delhi’s involvement. He also criticised India’s treatment of minorities, describing it as harsh and discriminatory.
Jadoon specifically condemned India’s recent actions regarding the Indus Waters Treaty, accusing India of attempting to weaponise water and breach international agreements, which he called both illegal and damaging to the people of Pakistan.
Referring to the Pahalgam false flag incident in May, Jadoon stated that from 7 to 10 May, Indian warplanes violated Pakistani airspace. In response, he said, Pakistan acted responsibly and shot down six Indian aircraft, inflicting significant military losses. He reiterated that Pakistan has the full right to self-defence under international law. “India’s repeated acts of aggression and arrogance must be taken seriously by the international community,” Jadoon told the Council.
He also warned of India’s alleged use of fake terrorist organisations to carry out false flag operations, exposing another layer of covert hostility from New Delhi.
Calling for global attention, the Pakistani ambassador urged the international community to hold India accountable for its behaviour and to work towards lasting peace in South Asia. He said this was only possible if India showed seriousness, respected UN resolutions, and engaged constructively.
Jadoon concluded by reminding the Council that Pakistan desires peace, but will never compromise on its sovereignty or the rights of the Kashmiri people.
