Former Indian army officer Pravin Sawhney has revealed that Pakistan has never lost a war to India, whether on the eastern or western front.
In a interview, Sawhney stated that Pakistan has not been defeated by India in any war on either front. He clarified that even in the 1971 war, Pakistan did not lose on both fronts. He argued that had Pakistan truly been defeated by India, the Line of Control (LoC) between the two countries would not exist today.
Sawhney further claimed that if India had been powerful enough, it would have eliminated the LoC long ago.
Speaking about the 1971 war, he explained that when Bangladesh was formed, the situation there was helpless and unsupported because reinforcements from Pakistan could not reach the east. The only possible route was airspace, which India had already cut off between East and West Pakistan.
He added that the weapons and soldiers present in East Pakistan were all that was available, and questioned how long they could have resisted. For that reason, he reiterated, “Pakistan has never been defeated by India.”
It is pertinent to mention that major wars between India and Pakistan occurred in 1948, 1965, 1971 and 2000 with significant escalations taking place in 2016, 2019, and again in 2025.
Earlier, Indian journalist Raju Parulekar talked about how Operation Sindoor was a failure.
The journalist went on to sharply criticise Modi for hiding the truth about the Rafales and falsely declaring “victory.”
He concluded by saying that Pakistan now fully understands India, claiming that it will come back to fight India.
“India was once compared to China now it is being compared to Pakistan. And if Modi remains prime minister for a little longer, India will soon be compared to Bangladesh”, he added.
