WEBDESK: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, is currently on an official visit to the United States.
According to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), these engagements provided an opportunity to present Pakistan’s strategic perspective and its principled stance on regional and global issues.
He also highlighted Pakistan’s unique capabilities in dealing with complex security challenges.
Field Marshal Munir also enlightened on the outstanding capabilities of Pakistan and its position in the front line of combating terrorism around the world in the discussions. According to him, Pakistan has always been on the forefront in efforts of combating terror in the international scene where it has made significant sacrifices on human and economic fronts in the quest to bring peace in the world.
Speaking to experts, he pointed out that certain regional elements are now using terrorism as a tool of hybrid warfare to destabilise peace and security.
“Pakistan has remained in the lead against terrorism,” Field Marshal Munir stated.
His remarks come at a time when regional security concerns are growing, and Pakistan continues to advocate for cooperative strategies to counter emerging threats.
He further observed that some regional actors are now using terrorism as a tool of hybrid warfare to destabilise the region. Addressing these evolving threats, he emphasised the need for a broader understanding of such tactics and the importance of collective security.
Highlighting Pakistan’s commitment to regional stability, the Army Chief reiterated that Pakistan will continue to play an active role in reducing regional tensions and promoting a cooperative security framework.
Field Marshal Munir also invited international partners to explore opportunities for collaboration in various sectors, including information technology, agriculture, and mineral resources. He spoke of Pakistan’s readiness to build long-term partnerships based on mutual respect and shared interests.
The ISPR added that these meetings allowed Pakistan’s strategic vision to be better understood by international stakeholders, reinforcing Islamabad’s message of responsible state behaviour and regional peacebuilding.
