WEBDESK: In a recent meeting held at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, Field Marshal Asim Munir met with Bilal Bin Saqib, CEO of the Pakistan Crypto Council (PCC), to discuss the future of the country’s digital transformation.

The key focus of the meeting was to find ways to strengthen the Pakistan digital economy by involving young talent and encouraging innovation. Bilal Bin Saqib highlighted that the PCC was created to give Pakistani youth a voice and a place in the global tech industry. “Our youth want a seat at the global tech table,” he said.

“We are building for a generation that sees digital finance, decentralisation, and AI not as threats but as opportunities to lead, innovate, and uplift the nation.”

The meeting between Field Marshal Asim Munir and Bilal Bin Saqib also touched on how Pakistan can become a leader in the use of digital finance, blockchain technologies, and AI. Both leaders agreed that the Pakistan digital economy has huge potential and can grow quickly if supported by the right strategies and opportunities.

The meeting coincides with the Ministry of Finance’s unveiling of a national strategy to regulate digital assets, including the formation of the Pakistan Digital Assets Authority (PDAA). This newly proposed body will regulate a crypto market estimated to exceed $300 billion, and oversee efforts such as tokenization of assets, regulated Bitcoin mining, and the development of blockchain-based financial infrastructure.

According to the statement, Bilal bin Saqib shared important updates on the progress of the Pakistan Crypto Council, the visit of the World Liberty Financial delegation and the founder of Binance, and international cooperation.

Field Marshal Asim Munir showed strong interest in the development of digital skills across the country. He supported the idea of creating more opportunities for young people so they can help shape Pakistan’s future in technology and business.

Field Marshal Asim Munir’s backing for PCC and its mission reflects a unified national push toward building a resilient, tech-enabled economy led by Pakistan’s youth. The initiative is seen as a bold step toward embedding the country into the global digital landscape, positioning it as a serious contender in AI, blockchain, and crypto innovation.
