WEBDESK: In response to increasing Pak-India tensions after the recent Pahalgam incident, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly shown its backing for Pakistan. The OIC supports Pakistan and has expressed full solidarity with both the government and the people of Pakistan.

The Pakistani mission to the United Nations confirmed that Ambassador Asim Iftikhar met with OIC representatives in New York. He informed them about India’s false flag operation in occupied Kashmir and the baseless accusations made against Pakistan. He stressed that such actions from India are highly provocative and irresponsible.

While briefing the OIC Contact Group on the South Asian situation, Ambassador Iftikhar highlighted Pakistan’s calm and patient response. Despite rising pressure, Pakistan continues to act with restraint, in contrast to India’s aggressive behavior. The OIC supports Pakistan’s position and acknowledged the serious threat India’s actions pose to regional peace and stability.

The OIC ambassadors urged both countries to avoid further escalation. They emphasized the importance of resolving core disputes – especially the Kashmir issue – through peaceful dialogue and diplomacy. The group also reaffirmed that the Kashmir conflict must be settled fairly in line with United Nations Security Council resolutions and OIC decisions.

This strong statement shows how the OIC supports Pakistan during a critical time. With growing international concern, calls are increasing for India to act responsibly and return to meaningful dialogue.
