WEBDESK: Novak Djokovic has secured a spot in the Miami Open semifinals after a strong performance in his latest match on Thursday. The Serbian tennis star showcased his skill and experience, defeating his opponent, Sebastian Korda 6-3 7-6(4), in straight sets.

Djokovic, who has been in excellent form throughout the tournament, dominated the match with powerful serves and precise shots. His ability to control the game and stay composed under pressure helped him secure yet another victory. Tennis analysts have praised his consistency and strategic play, making him a strong favorite to win the title.

“I’ve been serving great the entire tournament but particularly today I needed it in the second to try to come back,” Djokovic told Tennis Channel.

“In the tiebreak, a couple of points really decided the winner, 5-4 service winner, ace at 6-4 to finish off the match. So I’ll take that as the highlight.”

This semifinal appearance marks another milestone in Novak Djokovic’s already impressive career. With numerous Grand Slam titles and a record-breaking ranking history, he continues to prove why he is one of the greatest players in tennis.

Victory ensured that Novak Djokovic, who turns 38 in May, became the oldest ATP Masters 1000 semi-finalist, surpassing Roger Federer, who made the final four at Indian Wells and Miami aged 37 years and seven months in 2019.

The match was originally scheduled for Wednesday but postponed under ATP rules aimed at avoiding matches dragging on into the early hours of the morning.

Fourth seed Novak Djokovic, gunning for a record seventh Miami Open title, will face 14th-seeded Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov in the semi-finals on Friday.

Fans around the world are eager to see if he can maintain his momentum and claim another championship trophy.

As the tournament progresses, all eyes are on Novak Djokovic as he prepares for the crucial semifinal match. Tennis enthusiasts and experts anticipate an intense battle as he aims to add another title to his name.
