Chief of Army Staff (COAS) general Syed Asim Munir while addressing the First Annual Overseas Pakistanis’ Convention in Islamabad on Tuesday stated that the narrative of ‘Brain drain’ in Pakistan is false.
“I am very touched to see the sentiments of Pakistanis living abroad today and I assure you that our sentiments for you are even stronger,” stated the Army Chief Gen Asim Munir.
He also remarked that the overseas Pakistanis are “not only the ambassadors of Pakistan but also the light of Pakistan that shines on the entire world.”
Interestingly, the military chief Gen Asim Munir also remarked, “Those who create the narrative of brain drain, should know that this is not brain drain but brain gain and overseas Pakistanis are the best example of it.”
“You all have to tell the story of Pakistan to your next generation, the story on the basis of which our ancestors achieved Pakistan.”
He also issued a warning to the enemies of Pakistan, saying, “Do the enemies of Pakistan think that a handful of terrorists can decide the fate of Pakistan? Even ten generations of terrorists cannot spoil anything for Balochistan and Pakistan.”
He assured the listeners that as long as the people of Pakistan stand with the Pakistan Armed Forces, then “your army can easily face every difficulty.”
“Balochistan is the destiny of Pakistan and the crown jewel of our forehead.Allah Almighty has blessed Pakistan with immense resources for which we should always be grateful.”
He also added, “Today, we are giving a clear message together that whatever will be an obstacle in the path of Pakistan’s development, we will remove that obstacle together.”
The Army Chief Gen Asim Munir concluded the address by saying, “Remember that your legacy is from a high society, ideology and civilization. As Muslims and Pakistanis, we do not fear in the face of adverse situations, we have never bowed down in the face of difficulties and difficulties, and we will never bow down.”
