Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar has clarified that only contacts with the establishment were restored before November 24, and no formal negotiations took place during that time.
Speaking on the matter, Barrister Gohar emphasized that final negotiations between PTI and the establishment have not yet begun, and any claims of a deal being made are entirely baseless and disconnected from reality.
He also addressed statements made by PML-N leader Talal Chaudhry regarding the return of the Taliban, calling them contrary to the facts.
Earlier, Talal Chaudhry had claimed that the TTP had never targeted PTI leaders in its history.
Barrister Gohar highlighted that Pakistan is currently facing a serious threat from terrorism, and this is not the time for baseless accusations. Instead, he urged a focus on combating terrorism and ensuring the safety of citizens.
The PTI chairman pointed out that decisions regarding the resettlement of the Taliban were made after July 2022. He criticized Talal Chaudhry’s remarks, stating that such irresponsible statements undermine the seriousness of the situation, especially when terrorists have not refrained from targeting PTI.
Barrister Gohar reiterated PTI’s strong condemnation of terrorism in Pakistan and the targeting of any Pakistani citizen, underscoring the party’s commitment to fighting against all forms of violence.
