ISLAMABAD: The lower house of the bicameral parliament is set to meet today (Monday) at the Parliament House at 5:00pm.
Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq will preside over the session.
A 12-points agenda has been released by the National Assembly Secretariat.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is set to introduce a resolution to extend Society Registration (Amendment) Ordinance by another 120 days. Responses to calling attention notices are also part of agenda of today’s session.
The Minister of Education will present amendment to the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act, 1975, while the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs will table the Special Economic Zones Authority Amendment Bill, 2025.
Moreover, the law minister will present the reports of the National Commission for Human Rights for the years 2023 and 2024 during the session.
The PML leader and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal is expected to present the motion a motion of thanks to the President for his address to both houses of Parliament on 10th March, 2025.
It is pertinent mention here that the parliamentary party meeting of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been convened to be held today (Monday) just before the start of the National Assembly session.
According to sources, parliamentary party meeting will be held at the opposition lobby of the Parliament at 3:00pm. PTI leader Zartaj Gul will preside over the meeting.

Sources said that the PTI would formulate a strategy regarding participation in today’s National Assembly session.
