Host Nadia Khan has revealed that her husband, Faisal Mumtaz Rao and AVM Aurangzeb Ahmad are related as they are great friends and she knows him and his family very closely.

In her show, she showed her husband and Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb’s picture from 1980s when they were quite young.

She said, “When I married Faisal, I knew he had three brothers, but he told me, ‘I have another brother, Aurangzeb, who is a very competent fighter pilot’.”

Nadia recalled the time she met AVM Aurangzeb and his family, saying he is extremely patriotic and that they talked for hours.

She mentioned meeting his wife and children, describing them as amazing. She added that when she visited their home, they treated her to special homemade jalebi.

How did AVM Aurangzeb get so popular on social media?

When the Pakistan Air Force gave a strong response to India and shot down their Rafales, Pakistanis praised them wholeheartedly.

Afterwards, AVM Aurangzeb held a press conference alongside other officers. His evident professional expertise and humorous delivery caught the attention of social media, making him the most searched personality in Pakistan, according to Google Trends.

From edits calling him the “national crush” to tweets about the ring he wore during the conference, Aurangzeb unintentionally soft-launched himself straight into the hearts of Pakistanis.

Who is Nadia Khan’s husband?

Nadia got married to Faisal Mumtaz Rao in 2021, at the time she revealed that he is a retired PAF officer and fighter pilot.

“He retired from the Pakistan Air Force as Wing Commander in 2009 after serving for 18 years and joined the UAE Air Force first as Instructor Pilot and then as Chief of Safety”, she gave the details in an Instagram post.

“Faisal is the son of a renowned Electronic Media journalist and former Director of News & Current Affairs Pakistan Television, late Mumtaz Hamid Rao. Mumtaz Hamid Rao was one of the founders of Pakistan Television and one of the first journalists to set up PTV News”, she wrote.

Moreover, according to Nadia he has “over 4000 flying hours on Mirage, F-7, Hawk Grob, T-37, Cessna, and other aircrafts. Apart from that, he has topped all the major training courses both in Pakistan and the UAE.”
