Webdesk: In the case from May 9 at the Mianwali police station in Musakhel, the Anti-Terrorism Court in Sargodha has delivered its verdict: 32 accused affiliated with PTI have been sentenced to ten years in prison each.
Opposition Leader of Punjab, Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar, along with other PTI leaders, has been sentenced to ten years in prison each.
Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly, Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison in connection with the May 9 case.
The Anti-Terrorism Court in Sargodha also sentenced MNA Ahmad Chattha and all other workers to 10 years in prison each.
At the time of the verdict, none of the accused, including Opposition Leader Ahmad Khan Bhachar, were present in court.
“Every citizen is feeling insecure these days,” said Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar.
The court had granted an exemption from personal appearance to all 32 accused, including Ahmad Khan Bhachar.
The Anti-Terrorism Court stated that Dr Yasmin Rashid’s lawyer will present further arguments tomorrow at 10AM, after which the verdict will be announced.
The court has completed the trial of 14 accused, including Shah Mehmood Qureshi, and 61 government witnesses have recorded their statements against them.
It is worth noting that most of the accused in the Mianwali riots and vandalism case are currently out on bail.
