Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, has thanked Pakistan for its support during the 12-day war with Israel.
According to Iranian news agencies, the Iranian military chief expressed his gratitude in a phone call with Pakistan’s Army Chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, acknowledging the Pakistani government and public for standing by Iran during the conflict.
Israel began its attacks on Iran on June 13th, with initial strikes killing senior Iranian military officers, members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and top nuclear scientists.
Later, the United States also launched airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities in Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz.
In retaliation, Iran launched intense missile attacks on Israel, targeting key installations. The country also attacked US base in Qatar after that ceasefire was announced by President Donald Trump.
