Indian army dismisses social media rumors of LoC ceasefire violation

Following a flurry of social media posts claiming intense cross-border firing between India and Pakistan along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch sector, the Indian army has categorically denied any ceasefire violation, calling the reports “completely baseless.”

The claims, which spread rapidly online late Tuesday night, triggered speculation of renewed tensions along the heavily militarized frontier. However, no official confirmation came from Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) either.

Azaad Exclusive Fact-Check: Contrary to sensational reports circulating in Indian media, no violations have been reported along the Line of Control (LoC) from either side.

Azaad’s ground sources and official channels confirm that the situation at the LoC remains calm and stable, with no recent incidents of cross-border firing or aggression.

The misleading claims appear to be part of a broader pattern of disinformation, often used to stoke unnecessary tensions.
