Apple is working on four models in the iPhone 17 lineup — the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Among these, the iPhone 17 Air is set to become the thinnest iPhone the company has ever produced.

Leaks about these devices have been surfacing for months, and so far, there doesn’t appear to be anything particularly surprising that would wow consumers.

However, the big question on users’ minds is: how much will the new iPhones cost?

A new leak has now revealed that the iPhone 17 series may come with a price hike.

According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, Apple is planning to increase the prices of its upcoming iPhones.

The price increase is reportedly due to U.S. tariffs imposed on China.

Apple is expected to incur losses of up to $900 million in the third quarter of this year because of the tariffs, which could also impact the pricing of its devices.

It’s worth noting that the U.S. and China reached a trade agreement on May 11, under which both sides agreed to suspend any new tariffs for 90 days.

The report does not specify how much the prices will increase.

Previous leaks have suggested that the iPhone 17 series will ditch the square-shaped rear camera setup in favour of a new design — one that resembles the pill-shaped camera bar seen on Google Pixel phones.

Earlier reports also shared multiple leaks about the iPhone 17 Air.

According to a report by 9to5Mac, the iPhone 17 Air will be 25% thinner than Apple’s current iPhone Pro models.
