India on Wednesday announced unilateral suspension of more than 60 years old Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan following attack in Indian occupied Kashmir on April 22 which killed 26 tourists.

On April 23, Modi-led government officially responded to the Kashmir attack by putting all the blame on Pakistan and announcing five actions against Pakistan.

Following the attack in Indian Occupied Kashmir, India blamed Pakistan without any form of investigation or inquiries, while Indian media and social media has resorted to threatening and jingoist narratives.

Fact Check about alleged fire at Lahore Airport

The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has strongly denied the reports of an alleged fire at Lahore Airport, while stressing that the flights are operating routinely.

The video which depicts fire at Lahore airport is actually from a fire in May 2024 caused by a short circuit, which had no fatalities.

Social media platform X’s AI assistant, Grok, also fact checked the claim on social media, writing, “The claim about a massive fire at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore on April 26, 2025, due to a missile battery explosion with 14 soldier deaths appears to be false. No credible news outlets or official statements from the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority confirm this incident.”

However, Indian media has been busy spreading lies and propaganda about Pakistan and the claim about fire in Lahore Airport is yet another false news.
