WEBDESK (Azaad English): Pakistan marks the 9th anniversary of the arrest of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav, who was captured by Pakistani intelligence agencies in Balochistan on March 3, 2016.

When interrogated Kulbhushan Jadhav revealed that destabilising the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and Gwadar Port and fueling the Balochistan separatist activities were his main goals in Pakistan. The discovery of his arrest revealed India’s support for Pakistani terrorism operations using its intelligence agency RAW.

Security forces of Pakistan view Kulbhushan’s detention as a primary achievement that fulfills their mission to halt Indian sponsorship of terrorist activities. Security forces discovered Kulbhushan Jadhav had active connections with Balochistan and Karachi separatist leaders to conduct violent attacks throughout the region.

Following his capture he made admissions that revealed along with supporting evidence an extensive Indian campaign. According to his statements he operated a network through jewelry and scrap businesses located in Chabahar on behalf of Pakistan.

The International Court of Justice sided with Pakistan’s position after its solid presentation of evidence which proved India wrong. India’s false claims fell short at ICJ allowing Pakistan to proceed with their domestic laws while receiving international endorsement of its human rights policy and Jadhav consular access.

His detention continues to be a crucial turning point between Pakistan and India as Pakistan demonstrates its commitment toward managing international threats.

Shahid Rand who represents the Balochistan government declared March 3, 2016 to be a historic day for Pakistan since its law enforcement successfully captured an active Indian agent in Balochistan.
