PESHAWAR (Azaad English): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has introduced a new Integrated IT Portal to improve financial management and public service delivery across the province. The system will help ensure transparency in government spending and prevent financial mismanagement.

This integrated IT Portal brings support from the Sub-National Governance (SNG) Programme to enable its use by 181 public sector entities in KP. A total of 181 public sector entities consisting of government offices together with hospitals universities and municipal service units will utilize this portal. Through its real-time features and dashboard analytics the portal supports effective monitoring by officials through its automated reports.

Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur launched the integrated IT Portal through a special event which took place in Peshawar. Other government representatives like Muzammil Aslam who served as Advisor to the Chief Minister on Finance joined with senior government officials. The Chief Minister declared that contemporary technology serves as a fundamental requirement for both good governance and financial discipline.

The KP government manages a total of 183 public sector entities, and all of them are now required to use the new IT portal. The system will track financial performance, improve decision-making, and ensure better service delivery.

During the event, officials also presented the province’s first-ever Service Delivery Performance Monitoring Report. This report, which was first tested in three departments, will now be expanded to cover all government offices. The report provides key insights into how government funds are being used and helps improve accountability.

Chief Minister Gandapur urged all departments to fully implement the IT system by July 1, 2025. He warned that strict action would be taken against any department that fails to comply. He highlighted several financial improvements made by his administration, including a PKR 169 billion surplus budget, the creation of a Debt Management Fund, and the restoration of the Sehat Card health insurance program.

The launch of this system makes Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the first province in Pakistan to introduce such an advanced financial monitoring tool. Officials and partner organizations praised the initiative, calling it a major step toward better governance and financial transparency.
