Kinnaird College incident: student dies after falling from balcony

LAHORE: Kinnaird College incident has shaken the academic community in Lahore, as a 21 year old student, Maida Faheem, on Tuesday lost her life after falling from a second floor balcony. According to police, Maida fainted due to dizziness, which caused her to lose balance and fall.

Maida was undergraduate Student of BS Computer Science and used to face seizures due to her medical condition. Through family communication it was identified that that she had been unwell for some time and often experienced fainting spells. The Kinnaird College accident was entirely unintentional according to her family members.

The Kinnaird College incident took place within the college premises which led to an immediate response by authorities. Emergency services transported the body to the hospital for post mortem examination. The police have initiated early investigations which show the incident started as a non-suspicious accidental fall.

Maida’s family has informed the police that they do not wish to pursue any legal action. They described the event as a deeply unfortunate accident and have requested privacy during their time of grief.

So far, the administration has not released an official statement regarding the Kinnaird College incident.
