Senior journalist Hasnaat Malik while appearing in an exclusive interview with Azaad Khabar on Thursday revealed that reports of Imran Khan tasking Ali Amin Gandapur with starting negotiations with the establishment are true.

Jang News reported that founder Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan met with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Ali Amin Gandapur and his Information Advisor Barrister Saif in Adiala Jail on Wednesday.

Their meeting allegedly lasted over two hours in which Imran Khan reportedly asked Ali Amin Gandapur to negotiate with the establishment.

According to media reports, Ali Amin Gandapur and Barrister Saif remained successful in their goal of convincing Khan for conducting talks with the establishment.

Sources said that the meeting also discussed reviewing the policy of confrontation with the institutions. It was allegedly decided to keep the contents of the meeting confidential until there is any progress in future talks with the establishment.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) denied the report calling it false; however, Hasnaat Malik also confirmed the report, saying, “This is a confirm report that Imran Khan has conditionally given a green signal to Ali Amin Gandapur for talking with them [establishment].”

“This is a fact that that Ali Amin Gandapur is the main guy who intervenes and talks between the two parties [PTI and establishment],” Hasnaat claimed.

He further claimed that the relations between KP CM Gandapur and Khan became sour following the arrest of Bushra Bibi
