Israeli PM Netanyahu admits Indian Army used Israeli weapons in 'Operation Sindoor'

Webdesk: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has admitted that India used Israeli-made weapons during its military offensive “Operation Sindoor”.

In an exclusive interview with Indian media, Netanyahu said, “India used our weapons in Operation Sindoor, and these arms proved to be highly effective on the battlefield.”

However, contrary to the Israeli premier’s claim, the fact remains that the Pakistan Air Force had dealt a significant blow to India during the operation, exposing the ineffectiveness of foreign-made weapons, including Rafale jets.

Netanyahu specifically highlighted the use of the Barak 8 missile defence system, which was jointly developed by Israel and India. According to him, this Israeli defence system has become an essential part of India’s military infrastructure.

He also claimed that both countries are working together for “peace and stability” in the region.

This is not the first time Israel has claimed to supply arms to India. The defence partnership between the two countries is longstanding. After Russia, France, and the United States, Israel is India’s fourth-largest arms supplier.

Addressing the recent imposition of 50 per cent US tariffs on Indian goods, Netanyahu said that “India and the US are both our close allies, and we believe they will resolve their economic differences through dialogue.”

He further confirmed that direct flights between India and Israel are under consideration and said the United States also views India as a “natural partner”.

Netanyahu’s remarks come at a time when tensions and alliances between Pakistan, India, and Israel have drawn increasing global attention.

His statement is seen as a clear reflection of the deepening defence ties between India and Israel, a partnership that could have a significant impact on the balance of power in the region.
