Israel Intercepts More Missiles And Drone Amid Continued Attacks From Iran

The Israeli army has reported fresh missile launches from Iran and confirmed the interception of another drone in the occupied Golan Heights, as tensions between the two countries continue to escalate.

In a statement issued late Tuesday, the Israeli military said its defence systems were actively intercepting incoming missiles and urged residents across parts of the country to seek shelter immediately. The warning came shortly after Iran’s state-linked Fars news agency claimed that bunker-busting drones had been deployed to strike targets inside Israel.

Separately, the Israeli army said it had intercepted a drone over the southern Golan Heights, a strategic plateau Israel has occupied since 1967. The military did not disclose the drone’s origin.

Despite the ongoing attacks, Israeli officials suggested that the immediate threat level may be decreasing. The military claimed it had significantly degraded Iran’s capacity to launch effective strikes, pointing to a noticeable reduction in the number of missiles breaching Israeli defences.

While Israeli authorities believe Iran’s offensive capabilities have been curtailed, analysts note that Tehran may be deliberately holding back more advanced weaponry for strategic purposes.

Reflecting a slight easing of tensions, Israeli officials announced that the nationwide alert level had been lowered. Public gatherings of up to 30 people are now permitted, though schools remain closed. Office and retail workers are being advised to return to work only in buildings equipped with shelters.

The latest developments come amid a volatile period in the Middle East, with Iran and Israel trading fire in what analysts fear could spiral into a broader regional conflict.
