WEBDESK: Israeli military, following in the footsteps of India has reportedly censored reporting on multiple sites.

Al Jazeera, reporting from Amman, Jordan, says it has been banned from operating inside Israel and the occupied West Bank as the military ‘censors’ media.

The recent attacks have caused widespread damage, with strikes hitting areas like Haifa and Bat Yam. Drone sightings have also been reported in the north, near Beisan.

The Israeli military has reportedly censored details about at least four locations where direct hits occurred, preventing the media from sharing specific information.

In Bat Yam, dozens of buildings have been damaged, and the city’s mayor says some people are still trapped under the rubble.

This latest round of attacks is being described as more intense than the first night of confrontation between the two countries.

The targeting of Haifa, especially the area near its refineries, may signal a response from Iran to earlier Israeli strikes on civilian infrastructure.

Iran had warned it would retaliate in kind if such sites were hit.

Previously, during the Pkaistan-India tensions, the Indian government had banned multiple Pkaistani YouTube channels for alleged “provocative” content.

India had blocked access to several YouTube channels run by Pakistani news outlets and individuals.

Users trying to access the channels saw a message saying the move was based on an “order from the government related to national security or public order”.

According to the Press Trust of India (PTI), a total of 16 channels were affected.

The agency quoted a government statement saying the channels were spreading “provocative and communally sensitive content, false and misleading narratives and misinformation against India”.
