Islamabad traffic police has informed the residents about the closure of roads and security situation ahead of United Arab Emirates (UAE) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s visit.
Exceptional security measures will be in place on April 20, 2025, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at various locations including Korral Chowk, Express Highway, Khanna Pul, Faizabad, Club Road, and Radio Pakistan Chowk.
Traffic on the Express Highway may experience some delays hence citizens of Islamabad are advised to leave with a 20-minute buffer to avoid travel disruptions.
Additionally, the Red Zone’s entry and exit points, including Serena, NADRA, Marriott, and Express Chowk, will be temporarily closed until further notice. Those traveling to the Red Zone should use Margalla Road.
Travellers heading to Rawalpindi via Faizabad and Rawal Dam Chowk should use Kashmir Chowk, Srinagar Highway, and 9th Avenue Double Road.
