KARACHI: A fake notification claiming that the Eid holidays have been extended until April 5 in Sindh is currently circulating on social media. Authorities have confirmed that the notification is false and is part of an April Fools’ prank.
The message, which has been widely shared across various platforms, misleadingly states that the Sindh government has decided to extend the Eid holidays for an additional day.

The confirmation that this notification is fake is given by District Education Officer Primary Hyderabad on Facebook.
The Sindh government announced a three-day holiday for Eidul-Fitr from March 31 to April 2. Additionally the Sindh government has announced a public holiday on April 4 to mark the 46th death anniversary of former Prime Minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) founder, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
