Israel has intensified its deadly aggression against Iran, assassinating Sedighi Saber, a prominent Iranian scientist, according to Press TV.

This latest killing comes as Israel continues its unprovoked attacks on Tehran, with a recent drone strike reportedly targeting and killing senior Iranian nuclear scientist Behnam Shahriari and his wife. The couple was staying in a residential building in Tehran when an Israeli drone strike reduced it to rubble.

Shahriari, a commander in Iran’s Quds Force, was accused by Tel Aviv of overseeing weapons logistics — a charge Israel often uses to justify targeted killings that violate international law and sovereignty.

On Saturday alone, the Israeli military boasted of “eliminating” nine Iranian scientists — a chilling admission of extrajudicial killings. Those murdered included experts like Fereydoun Abbasi, former head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organisation and a former member of parliament, and Mohammad Mahdi, a physics expert. The list also includes professionals in nuclear, chemical, materials, and mechanical engineering.

Among the dead was Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, a key figure in Iran’s nuclear academic circles and president of the Islamic Azad University in Tehran. He had been instrumental in scientific advancement within Iran — now silenced by a drone.

Seyed Amir Hossein Feqhi, deputy head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organisation and a distinguished nuclear engineering professor, was also reportedly killed in this wave of Israeli aggression.

These assassinations reflect a dangerous and destabilising campaign by Israel to sabotage Iran’s scientific progress through force and fear — a blatant violation of international norms, human rights, and regional peace.
