During the entirety of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, Indian social media users and Indian media engaged in warmongering and jingoism, calling for direct attacks on the people of Pakistan and using AI Grok

Indian users engaged in mass disinformation and misinformation campaign online, with many users using old footage from Yemen, Syria and Palestine in the Pakistan-India conflict last month.

The Indian media resorted to such levels of propaganda and fake news that recently even the Chief of Defence Staff of the Indian Armed Forces, General Anil Chauhan, revealed that their army “spent almost 15 per cent of the operational time during Operation Sindoor countering fake narratives and disinformation.”

During the few weeks of rising tensions, Indian users publicly used X’s artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot, Grok, to ask questions about Pakistan’s claims.

Indian users kept using Grok because Indian media and their propaganda accounts flooded the internet with fake news, while Pakistan publicly reported the factual ground truths.

When India attacked Pakistani civilians on the night of May 6-7, the DG ISPR and the Foreign Ministry of Pakistan gave detailed briefings on the human and material losses Pakistan witnessed.

Likewise, the Pakistan military media wing also gave detailed briefings regarding the downed Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF).

However, the Indian media and Indian government refused to acknowledge the big losses they had suffered while creating a dangerous and hateful echo-chamber of false narratives to satisfy their public.

Two questions that were answered by Grok went viral on X. One question was: “Just tell me in one word: is it true India is hiding their casualties?”

And Grok answered “Yes,” proving that the Indian government refused to acknowledge their losses.

Another question was asked, “Tell me in one word, who had the upper hand between PAF vs IAF in the recent conflict?”

Grok replied, “Pakistan.” Needless to say, after hearing these answers, Indian social media users did not engage much with Grok.
