The Counter-Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) unit of the IIOJK Police carried out searches at 10 locations across four districts earlier this week.
The operation is part of an ongoing probe into the Pahalgam attack that took place 88 days ago.
The locations raided include:
Despite over two months of investigations, Indian forces have not identified or arrested any suspects. There are no leads about the attackers’ identities or whereabouts.
On April 22, militants opened fire on civilians in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) killing around 26 civilians.
India blamed Pakistan within few minutes following the attack without a shred of evidence.
India, in brazen violation of international laws and norms, launched missiles at civilians killing more than 50 people in Pakistan including women and children on May 6-7.
International experts have pointed out that India has failed to apprehend the perpetrators of the Pahalgam incident, despite it bringing the entire region to the brink of a nuclear war.
Defence analyst while talking to Azaad English stated, “t has been 88 days since the Pahalgam attack, yet Indian security forces have utterly failed to identify, locate, or arrest the perpetrators.”
“The latest desperate searches by Counter-Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) unit at 10 locations across Pulwama, Ganderbal, Srinagar, and Budgam only underscore the depth of this failure.”
He added, “For a regime that boasts about its “iron grip” on one of the most militarized regions in the world, this prolonged inability to bring the attackers to justice is nothing short of an embarrassing indictment of India’s hollow security claims.”
Another analyst stated, “This glaring lapse is not merely a tactical failure but a strategic humiliation for the Modi regime, which thrives on portraying IIOJK as being under complete control.”
Despite an overwhelming military presence, draconian surveillance measures, and countless curfews, New Delhi remains out of touch with ground realities in the occupied territory.
This failure is yet another reminder that repression cannot guarantee security. It highlights the deep disconnect between the occupying forces and the local population, where fear and resistance run far deeper than India is willing to admit.
