Another wave of disinformation and fake news targeting Pakistan has been started by Indian media, as it falsely claims that the United States has asked for military bases inside Pakistan.
Indian media has found it difficult to cope with recent diplomatic victories made by Pakistan’s senior military and civil leadership and continues to malign social media with fake news or propaganda.
A fake video clip of the Indian media is going viral on social media, in which it is being falsely claimed that former US President Donald Trump has requested Pakistan to provide air and ground bases against Iran.
Another website by the name, The Daily Guardian, seemingly aims to fool readers into thinking that it is the internationally renowned publication, The Guardian.
The Indian propaganda website, Daily Guardian, published this absolutely false story claiming that Donald Trump wants military bases in exchange for aid, military weapons, and pacts from Pakistan.
The recent wave of disinformation began after COAS Field Marshal Asim Munir was personally invited by Donald Trump to a private lunch at the White House. The luncheon hosted in his honour and Trump’s warm remarks including his statement, “I love Pakistan” have caused visible unease in Indian political and media circles.
Yesterday, the Indian media, particularly NDTV, falsely claimed that Field Marshal Asim Munir was invited by Trump because Munir had nominated him for the Nobel Peace prize.
Then NDTV ran another propaganda piece claiming that Pakistan would give its military bases to America against war with Iran in the coming days.
No such request was made by President Trump, nor was any official discussion held on the matter. These lies, perpetuated by mainstream Indian media, not only misrepresented facts but also attempted to drag a U.S. president into a web of misinformation. Such disinformation campaigns reflect India’s desperation to counter Pakistan’s growing credibility on the world stage.
Evidently, India’s frustration is rooted in its recent humiliations, according to experts.
Unfortunately, some YouTubers affiliated with a particular political party have also started peddling the Indian fake news wave. YouTubers Sabir Shakir and Imran Riaz are sharing this fake news to misguide the local public.

Previously, Indian propaganda accounts, particularly those linked with RAW, have been spreading false claims suggesting that Pakistan shared intelligence with Iran about Israeli targets.
All these allegations were utterly false and founded on a distorted version of recent statement by Pakistan Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif.
Speaking in the National Assembly on June 14, Khawaja Asif made no such admission.
In fact, his comments were entirely diplomatic and moral in nature, reaffirming Pakistan’s support for Iran in the face of Israeli aggression.
The Defence Minister of Pakistan was also falsely referred to as the PM of Pakistan, which is another false claim. Anyone fluent in Urdu can clearly understand the context of what he said.
The minister only reiterated Pakistan’s solidarity in moral and diplomatic terms. There was no mention or suggestion of intelligence sharing at any point.
Those misrepresenting his words seem to be deliberately spreading misinformation to serve a certain narrative.
The original statement is available for anyone to hear and understand.
