Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday, while addressing the Controllers Conference of the Indian Defence Accounts Department (DAD) stated that “peace time is an illusion.”
After Indian government threw a dynamite into an already volatile region by attacking Pakistan on May 7, the right-wing extremist Modi government refuses to learn the lessons of humility.
While India attacked women and children in Pakistan unprovoked, Pakistan absorbed the attack, stood firmly and retaliated strongly against only military targets.
Pakistan shot down 6 Indian aircraft, including 3 Rafale jets, which India refuses to acknowledge. Indian political and military leadership calls Operation Sindoor a “success” while refusing to accept the major military losses inflicted by Pakistan.
On many instances, India’s political leadership, including Narendra Modi, gave extremely irresponsible remarks which could destabilise the region and further foment chaos.
For instance, Singh and Modi have both repeatedly stated that the so-called operation Sindoor is “not concluded but only paused”.
Indian Home Minister Amit Shah has reiterated that India will never accept Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan.
Now, Rajnath Singh, once again, issued remarks that suggest a malicious intent behind India’s future policies, saying, “Peace time is an illusion and India must remain prepared for any uncertainty.”
Furthermore, the Indian Defence Minister also claimed that after the war between India and Pakistan, there is an alleged increase of Indian made weapons.
It is a fact that following the May 6 clash, which led to the loss of an Indian aircraft, including Rafale, the stock shares of Dassault Aviation dropped for many days.
According to defence experts, India is planning to increase armament, further pushing the region into an arms race.
