An Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) report has found out a sinister plot undertaken by the Indian Air Force (IAF) when it brazenly attacked Pakistani civilians, leading to the martyrdom of more than 30 people, including children and women, on the night of May 6-7.

To get a better understanding of the situation, it is imperative to know that the Indian media and Indian government have been engaged in a mass disinformation campaign against Pakistan since the Pahalgam attack.

Experts have stated that the Indian disinformation campaigns against Pakistan have multiple purposes, including misleading the general public about its sinister plans and hiding the facts by unleashing waves of fake news and propaganda.

Over the past few weeks, amongst many other fake news and propaganda, Indian-RAW affiliated social media accounts have also made false claims accusing Pakistan of using civilian airliners as ‘shields’ for their military aircraft during the five-day war last month.

However, the data collected from flight logs, social media timestamps, and official military statements regarding aggression against Pakistan reveal an inhumane and horrific, cowardly strategy: Indian Air Force using civilian flights as shields during its attack.

It should be noted DG ISPR, Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, during a press briefing on May 7, revealed that 57 flights were in the air during the Indian assault.

The military spokesperson repeatedly emphasised the reckless and dangerous move undertaken by India, saying, “There were multiple flights with thousands of passengers whose lives were put in grave danger. These were not just Pakistani flights, but there were Saudi flights, Qatari, Emirates, Etihad, Gulf Air, Chinese, and Korean flights.”

This statement by DG ISPR is on record when the Pakistan military openly shared the facts with the world and its people while Indian media was engaged in war hysteria.

However, the latest OSINT data reveals that India used civilian planes deliberately steered by Indian air traffic controllers towards northern airspace [Jammu and Kashmir region] where the IAF was engaged in attacking Pakistan.

During an ongoing air battle, Indian air traffic controllers deliberately changed the routes of multiple Indian civilian aircraft towards conflict zones instead of the safer east-south-easterly routes.

This intentional and calculated move would not have been made possible without direct orders from the top military and civilian leadership, according to aviation experts.

It must be noted that deliberately diverting civilian aircraft into a conflict zone constitutes a severe breach of international law and norms.

India Used Civilian Planes to save itself from PAF response: Proof

According to the OSINT sources, the “standard flight path” of these civilian aircraft was the normal east-south-east direction, avoiding the conflict zones.

However, as the Indian Air Force began its cowardly attack against Pakistan around midnight on May 6-7, the standard route of civilian aircraft suddenly changed, and they started moving towards the conflict zone in the north.

Flight tracker data from 6 May 2025, 19:30 UTC shows a bobbing cluster of commercial aircraft, including THA961, KAC-381, THA911, THA931, to mention a few, heading toward the north (conflict zones) on the night of May 6-7.

Instead of following the NOTAM, the civilian planes suddenly veered off their traditional path and started moving north.

On May 7, 2025, the Indian Air Force (IAF) launched airstrikes inside Pakistan, starting at 12:10 AM PST (7:10 PM UTC, May 6, 2025). The strikes hit targets at 12:35 AM PST (7:35 PM UTC, May 6, 2025), including a mosque in Bahawalpur (southern Pakistan), a mosque in Muzaffarabad (northern Pakistan), and Murdike.

Pakistan Air Force (PAF) response was activated swiftly at 12:12 AM PST (7:12 PM UTC). According to AVM Aurangzeb, PAF had taken only two minutes to initiate its response to IAF.

Evidence suggests the IAF deliberately routed civilian airliners through controlled airspace over Indian-occupied Kashmir and Jammu during the operation, raising serious questions about civilian safety.

Security analysts have remarked that the Indian military might have used this cowardly strategy to lessen the impact of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) response on the night of May 6-7.

However, the PAF warriors managed to effectively respond to IAF attacks and shot down 6 Indian aircraft while avoiding hitting civilian aircraft as well.
