Indian state owned broadcaster, Doordarshan, has resorted to spreading false propaganda against Iran amidst Israeli aggression.

Indian channel’s attempt to mislead the world by broadcasting a fake video of the Israeli attack on Iran.

Doordarshan presented an old video from October 2024 as a recent event in its tv show.

Doordarshan’s newscaster said: “Iran trembled with the Israeli attack.”

Media run by the taxes of the Indian people is embarrassing India on the global stage as Iran is considered to be a close ally.

Prominent Indian thinker Sandeep Manodhane strongly criticized the false propaganda of the Indian media.

He said: “This is the national broadcasting organization of India, which runs on the taxes of the people.”

“Iran is a friend of India, and India is investing heavily there.”

“Playing a false video at such a sensitive time is irresponsible journalism”, Sandeep Manodhane.

He further added that negative and sensational reporting against Iran would ultimately hurt Indian interests in the future.

Indian state media’s actions may fuel tensions in the region.

Spreading fake news is not only a journalistic crime but also a diplomatic crime.

The world media has become aware of the lies of Indian state media. This is not the first time the extremist Indian media has created a diplomatic failures for India.

It merits a mention that India has cordial relations with Iran; however, Indian social media users have resorted to jingoist and extremist narratives against Iran for its positive role in mediating between India and Pakistan during recent clashes.

Indian propagandist and former army officer Gaurav Arya sparked a diplomatic crisis between Tehran and New Delhi as he called the foreign minister of Iran “a pig” for visiting Pakistan on national tv.
