RAWALPINDI: Founder Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan is reportedly enraged at Pakistan cricket team’s abysmal performance in the Champions Trophy 2025 series.
Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, while talking to media on Tuesday stated: “Founder PTI was extremely angry over Pakistan’s cricket performance today. The founder vented all his anger on cricket today due to losing the match.”
She said that Khan must have seen the cricket match on PTV in prison and the founder got “very sad.”
According to Aleema, Imran lashed out saying: “When incompetent people are chosen, cricket is going to get destroyed. When Mohsin Naqvi was appointed as the Caretaker CM Punjab, he committed injustice. When he was appointed the Interior Minister, he did injustice.”
Aleema narrated that Imran Khan strongly criticised Interior Minister and Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, for being incompetent.
“Any man with any kind of honour would have resigned after the team performed so terribly but Naqvi will never resign. He should tell the public what exact experience does he have in cricket” stated Imran Khan.
He added: “Only party officials should talk to media about my statements.” Aleema also remarked that Imran Khan laughed at the fake news of Khan fainting in prison.
