Famous Pakistani actress and fashion icon has respectfully Iffat Omar confirmed on Tuesday while talking to Azaad Digital has humbly declined the offer to serve as Punjab’s Cultural Advisor, a position extended by the Punjab Government. Had she accepted, she would have been working under the province’s Information Minister, Azma Bukhari.
When asked why she declined the offer, Iffat Omar did not mention a specific reason but said she would love to take on such a role in the future, only if she feels she can truly justify the position.
Known for her unapologetically bold stance on women’s rights and feminism, the actress has long been a vocal advocate for social justice and gender equality. While her fearless views have earned her admiration from many, they have also made her a frequent target of online trolling and criticism.
Iffat Omar has never shied away from expressing her political affiliations either, having openly supported the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in the past. Her transparency in both political and social matters has set her apart as a rare and brave voice in the entertainment industry.
After the news went viral that she was offered the position of Punjab’s Cultural Advisor, many assumed it was due to her political association with PML-N. However, she has now confirmed that she has respectfully declined the offer.
