There is a high possibility of heavy rain in Lahore, Islamabad, and other cities of Pakistan today (Sunday) morning.
According to BBC Weather, Lahore is expected to experience rainfall throughout the day.
Islamabad, however, has an even higher likelihood of rain today.
Similarly, rain is also expected in the cities of Peshawar and Karachi.
Meanwhile, Quetta is likely to remain sunny, according to BBC Weather.
Widespread rain, hailstorms, and thunderstorms are expected by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) in a weather warning.
National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has informed people and government to get ready for possible crisis including flash floods and landslides.
Recent rain in Lahore
Recently, heavy rain in Lahore caused power outage in the city. Rainfall recorded was as follows: 2 mm in Jail Road and Gulberg, 5 mm in Lakshmi Chowk, 4 mm in Upper Mall, 3 mm in Mughalpura, and 4 mm in Tajpura.
Islamabad also had a storm on the same day.
Nishtar Town recorded 1 mm of rain, Chowk Nakuda 4 mm, Pani Wala Talab 5 mm, Farrukhabad 2 mm, and Allama Iqbal Town 2 mm.
Likewise, Johar Town saw 1 mm of rain and Qurtaba Chowk 2.5 mm. The average rainfall over Lahore city, though, was noted to be 2.4 mm.
