The summer school timings of Punjab schools have been revised, which will be applicable from April 7, Monday, when the schools will re-open after April 7 after nine Eid holidays.
The new Punjab school summer timing ill remian effective till October 15. Accroidng to the notifical issued by Punjab School Education Department single-shift schools will begin at 7:30am and close at 1:00pm. On Fridays, the school day will end at 11:30am.
Similarly, double-shift schools will start their first shift at 7:30am, with classes concluding at 12:00pm. On Fridays, these schools will also close at 11:30am.
For second-shift schools, the timings have been adjusted to start at 12:00pm and continue until 4:30pm. However, on Fridays, the second shift will begin at 2:30pm.
The revised summer timings apply only to public schools. Private schools set their own schedules, which may or may not align with the timings announced by the Punjab government.
Students are now awaiting the announcement of summer holidays, which usually last at least two months. The holidays typically begin in June, coinciding with the peak of extreme summer conditions in Punjab.
