HBL PSL X: Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf reach 300 T20 wickets

WEBDESK: Lahore Qalandars’ pace duo, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf, have both achieved a major career milestone during their match against Islamabad United in HBL PSL X, becoming the latest Pakistani bowlers to take 300 wickets in T20 cricket.

Afridi was the first to reach the landmark, doing so in just 216 matches, making him the fastest Pakistani and the fourth-fastest bowler in the world to reach 300 wickets. His teammate Haris Rauf followed closely, achieving the same milestone in 228 matches. Both bowlers accomplished the feat while playing in HBL PSL X, highlighting their consistent performance and importance to Lahore Qalandars.

Before this, the fastest Pakistani bowlers to 300 T20 wickets were Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz, who took 256 matches each. Afridi and Rauf have now set a new benchmark in Pakistani cricket through HBL PSL X, showing the high level of talent being showcased in the league.

Shaheen Afridi has taken 9 wickets in 7 matches in the current season, with best figures of 3/34, while Haris Rauf continues to be a key part of the bowling attack. Their success is not only personal but also a big boost for Lahore Qalandars in the ongoing HBL PSL X.
