Pakistan’s fast bowler Haris Rauf had to leave the field due to an injury sustained while batting.
During his innings against New Zealand, Rauf was struck on the helmet by a bouncer from New Zealand’s Blair Tickner.
Following this incident, Haris Rauf exited the game.
New Zealand won the One Day International (ODI) series by 2-0 against Pakistan after T20 series.
In the second ODI match, Kiwis defeated Pakistan by 84 runs.
It remains unconfirmed whether Haris will be available for the third ODI on April 5.
In the post-match presentation, Pakistani captain Mohammad Rizwan acknowledged the challenges his team faced, saying, “It is sore, but it’s part of the game. We didn’t do well today. We didn’t utilize the swing effectively, and New Zealand bowled very well. Later on, Faheem and Naseem fought well for us. These are challenging conditions, but we can’t make excuses. We are professional cricketers, and we need to do something different.”
