This Hajj will be the last one to take place in summer, according to Saudi National Meteorological Center.

From the next year, the holy month of Zilhaj will come during spring season and then during winters eventually.

The pilgrimage will not return to the summer season until 2042.

This change is due to the lunar calendar’s 10-day annual regression.

Around 90,000 Pakistanis will perform Hajj this year under government’s scheme.

The Hajj package cost between Rs11,50,000 for short-term pilgrims and Rs10,50,000 for long-term pilgrims this 2025.

Hajj flight operations under the government scheme are expected to begin from the last week of April.

Hajj takes place in the month of Dhul Hijjah, the 12th and final month of the Islamic calendar. In 2025, Hajj is scheduled to begin on the evening of Friday, June 6, 2025, and conclude on the evening of Wednesday, June 11, 2025. However, the exact dates may vary depending on moon sightings.

Hajj 2024

Last year, more than 1000 pilgrims died during Hajj when the temperature exceeded 50°C.

About 1.8 million people took part in Hajj last year.

Some of those who died were elderly or chronically ill, according to international media.

Temperatures in Makkah soared to between 46°C and 51°C, resulting in more than 2,760 reported cases of heatstroke in a single day, along with multiple heat-related deaths.

In 2024, the Kingdom introduced 33 new weather monitoring stations and expanded the use of mobile radars to enhance real-time climate tracking across Hajj zones.
