Gold rates in Pakistan today have skyrocketed to new heights, continuing on an increasing trend, with a Rs1,800 per tola rise in a single day.

The continuous increase in gold rates in Pakistan have sent shockwaves across the nations, as citizens grip with new reality. On April 12 (Saturday), the gold rate in Pakistan stands at Rs340,600 per tola.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the 10 grams gold rates in Pakistan has increased by Rs1,543, settling at Rs292,090.

According to the association, the price of gold in the global market is $3,236 per ounce, up $18.

Gold Rates in Pakistan witness rising trend

Yesterday, gold rate in Pakistan witnessed the single largest hike in history by increasing Rs10,000 per tola on April 11 (Friday). Likewise, in the international market, the price of gold increased by $100 per ounce, taking it to $3,218 per ounce another all time high.

Talking about the yesterday’s increase in gold rates in Pakistan, APSGJA President Muhammad Qasim Shararpuri stated it was the highest single-day increase in gold prices. “Consumers simply lack the purchasing power due to the rising cost of living,” he stated.

The gold rate in Pakistan today reflects the global trend, where gold prices are climbing due to economic uncertainty and ongoing trade tensions.
