As world leaders gathered for an official photo op at the G7 summit in Kananaskis, Alberta, Canada, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi remained invisible at the event.
Before Modi was invited, international media reported that Canada had taken a stand to deliberately not invite Modi to the G7 summit.
However, as pressure mounted, Indian government managed to get an invitation for Modi later; however, India’s diplomatic isolation was exposed at G7 summit.
Indian Prime Minister Modi remained absent in the presence of heads of participating countries in Canada.
International media also removed India’s name and flag from the coverage of the G7 summit.
India was not brought forward because of its aggressive behavior at the G7 summit.
Experts suggested that inviting the Indian Prime Minister to the G7 summit was just a formality.
Despite Modi’s earlier efforts, he was unable to meet with US President Trump. President Trump left the G7 summit soon without meeting Modi.

“Modi had just arrived when Trump left the summit and left. This does not seem like a coincidence,” stated the Congress leader.
Modi and the Indian media are extremely disappointed with Trump’s refusal to meet Modi.
Indian media and its diplomatic delegation resorted to attacking Donald Trump after he brokered a ceasefire between India and Pakistan.
Trump’s absence and refusal to meet with Modi have further weakened Modi’s political credibility globally, according to analysts.
